About Us

At Northern HV we are a specialist electrical engineering company delivering HV and LV installation, commissioning and full project delivery services. Founded in September 2021, the business was created by two engineers with a clear ambition to build a company that put people, quality and commitment at the centre of everything it does.

From the outset, Northern HV was built on a personal, hardworking approach. That mindset continues to define how we operate today, supporting clients across the UK and internationally with safe, reliable and technically robust electrical solutions.

In addition to our commissioning expertise, Northern HV delivers HV and LV installation services as part of our full project delivery offering. Our installation teams support the safe construction of electrical infrastructure across substations, transformer installations, switchgear and associated LV systems. 

By combining installation and commissioning under one delivery model, we provide clients with greater control, improved coordination and consistent standards throughout the project lifecycle. This integrated approach allows us to manage safety, quality and programme effectively from initial installation through to final energisation.

Northern HV offers full project delivery, managing electrical works from early planning through to installation, commissioning and handover. Our approach to risk management, quality assurance and safety is aligned with our ISO management suite, ensuring consistent standards across every project we undertake.

We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 certifications, are an SSIP Certification Body Member, and hold NERS accreditation. These accreditations reflect our commitment to quality, environmental responsibility, information security, occupational health and safety, and the safe delivery of compliant electrical network works.
